 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
From our parking spot earlier in the day (see this trail report: https://www.newenglandtrailconditions.com/me/viewreport.php?entryid=79200), we drive SE for just over 5mi on Upper Valley Rd and KI Rd to the main Gulf Hagas Parking. Room for several cars here, and we ran into a father-daughter pair that we'd met the day before on Barren who were thru-hiking a small section of the AT in the lot :) |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The water was very shallow but still not rock hopable, thus still necessitating a wade. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The AT is blazed in white. Not sure if the spur trail is blazed but it was signed and easy to follow. |

 | Comments: |
I'd hiked the spur trail before, but needed the very small piece of the AT between it and where it reaches the Pleasant River Tote Rd at Pugwash Pond, so Chris was kind enough to join me for this 1/2mi hike, including a wade. The wade was exceptionally shallow (like only partway up your shin), but there just aren't any big rocks to hop across on, so it's always a wade. Chris tried to float after, and it was so shallow that it didn't work too well, lol! |
