Comments
Comments: I forgot how amazing the views are from this peak. One of the most scenic around with a bunch of on-trail vistas, as well as a dramatic vista just beyond the highpoint.

North Trail, White Flag, and Boulder trails were a little bony and would be fine on spikes. However, I was glad to have my snowshoes on to get to the summit (no activity since the ice storm), as it was a breakable crust on top of about half a foot of snow, so it would have been very painful on the shins if not on snowshoes. Northwest Trail also had some deeper snow on the upper part that was better done on snowshoes.

Not too much blue ice encountered, but a little bit here and there.

Mostly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the 20s. Presis hidden by the clouds, but the Baldfaces looked impressive.
