Managed to get about a mile up without putting traction on, intermittent ice throughout becomes more consistent toward the top, where some might prefer actual microspikes - I found this all manageable with nanospikes (I carried Hillsounds just in case but the back-and-forth between rock and ice made the nano’s perfect for current trail conditions). Things are likely to change with colder weather and more incoming “storms” this week. |
