Stratton Brook Road is not easily driven on, at least not in a Minivan. Walked in, Parked on "Pond Loop" |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
To get to the trail head for Horns Pond trail and Firewarden's trail, stratton brook road goes through water. Waded through 2 ft of water, run-off created a stronger current, icy. Majority of Horn Pond trail is flooded as well, not impassable though. |

Nice view, wading across stratton brook road was far from ideal. Got started at 1pm, snow on the trails to the north side of the mountain was not bearing, very wet and weak. Shirtless for most of the hike, the peak at 4:30pm had a beautiful late afternoon shadow, still made it back to rt. 27 by nightfall(7pm) |
