1”-2” of snow in lot. Rt. 26 coming from the direction of Bethel was slippery and drifted near the top of the notch. |

Snow bridge on first stream crossing. Some rock hopping g on other crossings. All crossings were manageable with snowshoes. |

Hiked Old Speck Trail out and back. Minor crusty post holes for the first 2 miles. I switched to snowshoes as the snow got deeper and more powdery. Approx. 4”-6” deep, deeper but avoidable drifts in places. Left the snowshoes on for the descent to try to smooth things out a bit. Cold and beautiful out there today. |
