Trail was packed out for maybe the first mile by a skier. We (3 of us) broke out the trail to the summit. Most of it was 5-6 inches of powder with waist high drifts up top. We saw 2 others coming up after us in snowshoes. We also saw a barebooter laying last tracks… ooomph. Would highly recommend snowshoes, it’s still unconsolidated and needs a freeze. We also broke out the trail to the cave. It’s interesting getting up the chimney but kewl. Views were great today! Low wind & blue skies! Lots of snowshoe hare tracks. Get after it while it’s packed out! |
