Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: At trailhead - first bog bridge is seriously loose - careful stepping on it; one large blwodown 5 mins up from parking lot laying alongside the trail you'll need to step over branches; several step overs and duck unders along the trail but all could be taken care of with small saw since they are only a couple of inches in diameter
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A very dog friendly hike - lots of water down low for first half of trail but nothing once you leave streams and enter Stewart preserve and thence up to summit.
Bugs
Bugs: None out today!

Comments
Comments: A great hike that many people don't know about - awesome views from the summit and the many ledges leading up to the summit; nothing but sun today. Down low pretty well dry with a ranodm patch of snow and a few patches of mud; once past the sign for Stewart preserve there is snow on the trail - an inch or so deep in places. From here up you have snow, snow covered ledges, dry ledges, and wet ledges. While there was much exposed rock, there were stretches of snow/ice on the rock that made footing a bit tricky. Most people today were wearing light traction to get them over the snow and the few patches of ice and just dealing with the fact they also were going across open ledges in between. When not snow covered many ledges were wet and slick. Lots of people out today - the busiest I've ever seen this trail, had a nice conversation at the summit and thanks for taking my pic!
