Comments
Comments: Solo up Tug Mountain to the former fire tower site. Used the well maintained logging road that leads over the north summit and to a point 0.7mi to the west of the main (south) summit. From there, it was a 0.1 hike along an overgrown section of spur logging road (shown in OSM), then 0.4mi along an open, weedy section of spur logging road, then a 0.2mi rough bushwhack up through post-logging regenerative growth, blowdowns, brush, and briars to the summit and former fire tower site. The only tower remnants I found were some cables and an anchor pin. There's a narrow north view from a ledge just N of the summit. No canister or cairn.
