Comments
Comments: Was our first ''winter family backpacking trip''. My kids (daughter:13, sons: 8 and 10) made it easily to the Horns pond lean-tos. Took us 4 hrs from car to lean-tos, includin 1/2 hr lunch break. Slept two nights at horns pond. Went hiking on south and north horns peak. great view, easy climb. Would have like to hike to west and avery peak and back, but weather, strong wind, late start,... lack of motivation:) made us go back to camp for a afternoon of games and talks. Great place to introduce kids to overnight backpacking.
