 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I drove in on Four Corners road from the east, then up the atv trail in my truck to about 2040’ where I parked. A trail not shown on my map branched off to the right, but both options weren’t very drivable from there in my truck. The main roads are in ok shape, no high clearance needed, just a bit rough so it was 15 mph average. |

This is the 3000’ peak near the NH border. Like most reports I read, I started from the road to the north, but the path I ended up taking was a signed atv club trail heading up over a col and west to NH. From its height of land, I left it and bushwhacked south at a gentle grade all the way to the summit, in fairly decent woods with a lot of hobblebush about waist high. I was glad for the gentle grade on a hot day but the terrain got rougher and thicker at the top with some moose lanes to help on the overgrown logged areas. Some familiar names in the register. I think people might snowmobile up here occasionally, as one wrote “Polaris power”. Some slight views from the skidder paths on the way but not much view at the top. The hike was about 3.7 miles and took me 2 hours. |
