Comments
Comments: Awesome day out with Slowshoes. He almost threatened to give up hiking after the AMC Maine trail guide neglected to talk about rock slabs above eddy pond that can become slippery when wet. So take caution if attempting this hike after a rain event. Some wet muddy sections just after the Piazza Rock camp sites that required some careful foot placement to avoid a sinker.

The 3 miles of open ridge walk are some of the best in New England. Views were to Mount Washington today. Winds were blowing from the north with gusts of 27 mph. It is always a good day when you have the summit to yourself without any of the bothers that come with hiking the Whites on a nice Saturday afternoon. Slowshoes missed the crowds so much so that he even spoke about getting a dog just so he could have one to bark and growl at him while he was on trail. I think he said something about a pitbull. This hike is highly recommended.
