 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
From 27 turn onto West Kingfield road by the lumber store, turns into dirt rapid stream road keep going straight always. Park as sign directs right before 1st of the washed out bridges. Road has a few rough spots ie potholes, rocks, but a regular 2wd vehicle should be fine if you go slow and avoid hazards |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Have to cross where the two bridges washed out on rapid stream road. Water was low so both rock hoppable at time of hike. The biggest crossing is only 25-30 feet wide and other reports seem to make it sound more difficult than it was--unless high water after snow melt/big rain even they should be crossable. You might have to step in a few inches of water in higher flow, but that is still crossable in my book.

 | Comments: |
Abraham has a great northern presi feel that reminded me of Mt. Madison. Explored the ridge headed south following sporadic cairns towards Middle Abraham staying on talus, but stopped at a band of spruce about .5 or .7 miles from main summit, not wanting to trample alpine vegatation or deal with pointy spruce. Clear day, washington to katahdin visible and all points in between. |
