| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Small hiker parking area adjacent to the turnaround area immediately before border patrol. Text removed from sign which stated you had to check in - now you can just follow the hiker signs (through no man's land between the checkpoints) and not deal with border crossing. |

| Comments: |
Sort of neat to walk around the border checkpoint, sort of through no man's land (felt like Tom Hanks in The Terminal...or was it Joe Vs. The Volcano?), then onto the boundary swath for awhile. Boundary swath walk was a little more rugged than expected - a few short steady uphills and one minor scramble. Trail then departs the swath and drops to the pond, where loop splits. Bog bridging was very slippery. Neat to see the headwaters of what eventually becomes a large river down south. |
