Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two major water crossings on the A-Z Trail were tricky because the rocks were covered in ice - microspikes and trekking poles helped.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were too many blowdowns to count along the trail between Field and Willey. While most were step overs and duck unders but there were two sections where we had to leave the trail to get around them. There has been a lot of work done on the rest of the sections to remove the other blowdowns. Thanks to those who did it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: We had a small dog with us and she did fine.
Bugs
Bugs: There were no bugs.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing was lost, nothing was found.

Comments
Comments: We were able to get to the summit of Tom without using our microspikes on the trail but did end up putting them on as we came down from Tom. We used them again on the descent from Field along the Avalon Trail.
