Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Low water on SBT, avoided the first two by following Herd Path, all rocks had a skim of ice on them, it was easier to step on slightly submerged rock and wade across.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several blowdowns on SBT and MTT that had walk-arounds. The serious blowdowns on the MTT had already been cleared (thank you kind soul).

Comments
Comments: The Sabbaday Brook Tr was in great shape, dry with some small muddy spots that will freeze shortly. Only section that offered a slight difficulty was around 3.5 - 3.8 mi where the effects of Irene still are apparent. Blazes are difficult to see at times and the trail meanders from side to side of a wash-out that parallels the Brook. An interesting feature that we noticed along this area is that the main brook goes underground for about 75 - 100 yds. then reappears in full. Bushwhack to FK - Thick conifirs for the first 2-3ths then fairly open for the final tenth. Suggest the start be about 50-60 yds before the final crossing of Sabbaday Brook at the 4.3mi from start of trail and take a bearing of 78 degrees.
