Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: It's about a mile from the Basin trailhead and the Royce trailhead. A short walk on the campground road and RT 113, gate on 113 was still open.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were rocked hopped with ease 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There are a few trees down on most of the trails that require an ax. Cleared lots of small branches today. Trails are overall in pretty good shape.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lots of water on the Royce trail, didn't need to carry water today, all trails had good drinking sources. Not an easy dog trail but not too hard for a seasoned canine.

Comments: Great loop over some pretty cool peaks. Didn't see anyone else on the trails today, Nice! Lots of thick leaf cover on the trails hiding rocks and mud and minor ice. Not a huge issue but did slow us down a bit. Small avoidable patches of ice, no need for traction for now.
