Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: no issues, however, the bridge over the canal near the power plant had some loose/rotted boards - step carefully!!!!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: several minor blowdowns along the way. Also, most intersections are marked (per WMG 29th edition) from Rte 16 to the Mahoosuc Trail but the major right turn onto Hogan Rd was not marked... I went west accidentally until I studied the map a bit - it's easy to get turned around with the rail trail, road, and logging roads.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: would be OK for dogs - quite a bit of water along the way plus a spring halfway up.

Comments
Comments: Nice day for this hike despite some spitting rain - had some fine views from the ledges. Nice views at Mascot Pond towards the presies!!! Ledges a bit slippery! It wasn't totally obvious to me where the summit was - there were several cairns along the way - I went to the jct with Centennial Tr.
