Finished my NH48. Bright and sunny, cold but calm day on the Carter-Moriah trail, with beautiful 360 degrees views. Met one descending couple as we were going up and Eric Salvage (sp.?) with Jim Lombard, who were coming from the Stony Brook trail, at the summit. Encountered almost no major trail damage, but many steep sections were a sheet of ice. Spikes have served us well but in some sections they couldn't hold pushing us into minor bushwacks. |
