Comments
Comments: mixed bag day 19 Mile a mess with slush, frozen granular base..spikes needed in the parking lot and worked to the jct.

We put on snowshoes and headed up Carter Dome Trail and left them on back to the car. Mostly frozen granular surface with looser snow above 4500 feet. While we struggled to the ridge the Carter Moriah is an excellent fast track snowshoe track at this point...have at it before conditions change. A little breezy on C Dome, temp dropped dramatically as we headed north from there and down right cold heading across the excellent view ledges around Middle Carter.

North Carter Trail frozen granular with an breakable crust..pretty good footing down to the brook section on Imp which was loaded with bendovers and punched out by some apologetic barebooters who killed themselves on the way to 3000 feet.Nice to run into Heather and group several times along the way. Fine day out with Valerie, Sarah, and Hannah
