One sizeable pine blowdown just north of the Forest Service boundary (about 30 minutes in). Not hard to scramble over it. Signage and blazing okay. |

| Comments: |
Microspikes from car to car (except on and in the firetower!) Some bare ground (bare rock on the ledges), but generally was frozen granular snow or water ice - and lots of it! - some soft with minor flowing water, some hard. Extra-careful footing needed in some steeper areas; we did bushwhack around one big ice bulge a couple hundred yards from the summit. The descent was a little trickier than the ascent, but even though we carried full crampons, we did okay with microspikes for the whole trip. |
