| Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing on 19 Mile Brook is above the normal spot and uses an Irene down tree. Ok for people. Very sketchy for dogs. The water at this crossing is very high and the ice not solid. There were several crossings on the Carter Dome trail we had to help Raoul with but we hopped over and the upper crossing still is solid. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One duck under blowdown on Carter Dime trail. |

| Comments: |
Got a really late start so could not do Middle and South Carter. The color of the water and ice formations along 19 Mile Brook were astounding both in the bright morning light and grey afternoon. Went to the Lakes when the sun was out. Carter Moriah well consolidated and only spikes necessary. Limited summit views as clouds were descending. But conditions were better than forecast. Thanks Mona, Andrew, and Raoul for a fine day out. |
