Comments
Comments: Great day to be out, with mild temps and light winds. Views were a bit hazy at times, especially in the afternoon, but clouds lifted off the Presidentials as the day went on. Followed a packed out Lost Pond Trail, to a packed out Wildcat Ridge Trail. This unfortunately didn't stay the case for long, as once we reached the second view ledge, the broken trail stopped. We broke trail up to E peak, and down to the top of the ski area. From there, the trail was broken all the way to A peak. From A peak, the trail was unbroken, until about halfway down to the notch, where it looks like some folks got a bit lost and didn't take the turn where we came out. Carter-Moriah Trail unbroken to Carter Dome, heavy wet snow was the case on the steeps, but turned more powdery as we got higher. Carter Dome/Carter-Moriah also unbroken to Zeta Pass. From Zeta Pass down was all broken out and in good shape. For now, there's a decent track along this whole route. Thanks to NHITHIKER and sbanks for breaking out what you did on Wildcat Ridge, it was much appreciated!
