We broke through ice bridges 3 times in the first 4 crossings. Some of the upper brook crossings were shallow running water we waded through with snowshoes. |

4 year old Golden/Lab mix Reuben had a fun time, used Musher Wax on his feet but he got lots of snowballs on his underside. |

After breaking trail up to 2850 feet we bushwhacked uphill at 70 degrees toward Fool Killer through thick spruce and deep drifts but we were running out of time so we turned back. |
