Starting via Falling Waters to Little Haystack.
Ridge to Lafayette was windy, light snow and blowing snow, so the views were limited. Coming down from Lafayette we became disoriented. Could not find the path or the hut. Visibility was limited, so we made the right decision and climbed back up to lafayette and retraced our route home. Made for a long trip ( 10 hours) and we had a good scare, but we made the right decisions and came back. Great hike..good lessons learned |
