Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A number of blowdowns and leaners on Davis, 6 inch stepover just above camp site, 12 inch duckunder that has been there since last year - in summer an easy walkunder, a small duckunder in a bit of an inconvenient location on the steep side hill section, a leaner with branches you'll need to push through, a few more leaners just below the view ledge and some branches to look out for. On spur path, one small duck under, one 6 inch blowdown that people have detoured around.

Comments
Comments: Recovering from a cold but had to get out and figured Crawford was a good target for the day. A perfect choice as the temps were warm, the winds were absent, and the views were endless. Given late start had the summit all to myself but met 10+ plus 8 dogs on my way up. Trail was in great shape - reasonably solid all the way up to the first view ledge easily done in boots or light traction but easy to post hole if you step off the track. Starting at the view ledges, trail got softer in spots where the trail was in the sun - lots of post holing from here to the summit, some may want to use snowshoes to avoid sinking. Track drifts a bit off the path across the ledges before the spur but it leads across a nice wide ledge just before the spur that provides great views. Sunny warm and no wind on the summit, spent a good hour taking pictures and taking in the views.
