The trail wasn’t broken out. A female ice climber postholed the trail coming down off the first outlook. A large blowdown field consisting of two large trees has blocked the trail just after the left turn around the large boulder. I had to drop down below the trail to get around the blowdowns and never re-acquire the trail. I looked for about an hour before heading back down. If you do hike the trail, after the blowndowns immediately hike back up until you acquire the trail. Do not, as I did, hike parallel to what you believe to be the trail. |
