| Comments: |
Lower part of trail packed OK. Mid-way someone postholed fairly deeply since last big snow, trail not packed out by snowshoe so it is a bit narrow and quite uneven. Snowshoes would have been good for the snow conditions we encountered but the trail surface was not. Some postholes knee deep, needed to be careful not to step in them on the descent. From north ledges to summit there was just a snowshoe track, firm enough to walk on but rapidly softening up in the sun. Snowshoes would definitely be good in this section. Some rocks and roots starting to appear in sunny southern exposures. |
