Comments
Comments: Belknaps were a nice alternative to the 4K's due to the wind today. The trails were mostly bare with trace of snow/ice near the bottom, and increasing snow cover toward the summits and ridges up to 2ft. A portion of the trails are postholed and frozen that way, so care is needed to avoid twisted ankles or worse. Maybe another week of warm temps will help that! The ledges are a mix of bare rock and snow. Microspikes worked great for safe, quick travel.

Beautiful day out, if a bit windy. Nice to meet and chat with Ed 'n Lauky in person today on the trails! We saw a total of 13 people, 6 dogs and 0 coyotes enjoying the day.
