Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Lots of water crossings but all were either rock hoppable or snowbridged which looked like they might not last too much longer
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Few fallen trees no big deal. Keep your eyes on the rocks to watch for the trail markers all signs were there and easy to follow.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw 2 dogs today. Would not recommend dogs on the Manning Trail due to all the ice all others would be ok.
Bugs: None yet.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One glove hanging on a limb on the manning trail.
Comments: Manning Trail had a lot of ice up high. 2 in our group barebooted it while other member had micro spikes and they to work well while me and the other barebooter just went into the woods to avoid the icy spots. Would not recommend descending the Manning Trail. Lots of mud and water on the lower slopes.
