Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One green Bungi Chord and a knife found on the Carriage Rd. Contact me if the knife belongs to you. Looks like it's been there for a while. Some rust on the blade. The Bunji, I'll just throw it into my box and take it to the next "Trail Booty Swap"

Comments
Comments: Mostly bare ground to the jct. with the Snapper and Gorge Bk. From then on its contiuous snow pack until the summit, which is bare. From the Summit, and across the ridge to the Glenfield Trail Jct., monorail with patches of standing water and bare ground. I wore my Hillsounds most of the way up Gorge Bk., barebooted over the ridge and down to the Snapper Trail. I carried my snowshoes today for ballast. Could have been used on the Carriage Rd., but not worth the trouble due to stretches of bare ground. The Snapper Trail side doesn't have much deep snow pack and is a fast track. Gorge Brook still has some deep snow pack, but except for the Carriage Rd., the other trails were still firm and postholeing wasn't an issue. Great to have the road open. Nice sunny warm day. I didn't see anyone else on the trails today.
