Evidence of campfire attempt on trail past view ledge on Benton. Axe will be needed for trailwork higher up on Benton. |

Grete enjoyed herself. Mud Pond's made for good swimming spots. |

| Comments: |
Microspikes helpful on frequently traveled Glencliff. Much more residue snow on Benton trail. While I hiked early enough to avoid postholing, would have worn snowshoes on Benton if I had brought them. Warmed up considerably late morning. |
