Comments
Comments: Went up NT trail and crossed at the regular trail crossing. Started bushwacking and almost immediately ran into the fluorescent forest. I picked a new route that took me off the herd path and headed up the drainage. I worked my way up past the major cliffs and finally just turned up toward the summit. The climb was steep. Very thick growth up high. Still a out a foot and a half of snow. Finally pushed through and popped out at the summit. Amazed to see how travelled the summit was. Read the story about Ray in the cannister. RIP Ray. Went down to Nubble via the herd path. Path is hard packed and icy til below Nubble. Once down off Nubble I left the herd path and whacked back to Haystack Rd through mostly open woods. Good views early then clouded in. Saw a garter snake and trilliums. All the buds are poised. Yay spring!
