Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels quite high today. Large crossing on Baldface Circle - usual rocks used in crossing under several inches of water - no easy way across here. We found a tree about 30 yards downstream that you can use to get across with dry feet. Crossing at junction with Bicknell ridge - water also high - can make it across though need to be careful on the slick rocks and you'll need to take a small jump -there is an easier crossing about 30 yards upstream that is a fairly easy rock hop.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some small easy stepovers on both trails - easily removed with a small saw. One large duckunder on Baldface Circle just above lower Bicknell ridge trail junction. Moved a trunk off the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: An easy one for the canines - little water once you start heading up the ledges
Bugs
Bugs: Few early in the day but they came out once the sun starting breaking through - not much biting but a general nuisance.

Comments
Comments: Started out cloudy today but clouds broke once we got up top. A nice up and back to eagle crag - good views on the ledges and up top. Baldface circle up to Charles brook crossing nice and dry. After crossing to the Bicknell trail junction many stretches of mud and running water - some can be avoided - some can't. Bicknell Ridge trail before ledges was generally dry with only a few spots of easily avoidable mud. A few patches of wet and slick rock once you hit the ledges that you'll need to keep an eye out for - really appreciate the new bog bridges up top! A bit of slick rock heading over to eagle crag from the upper junction.
