We had boots on the trail at 7:30, but we were not the first one on the trail. Weather was crappy driving to mountain, but cleared up nicely. The Pumpelly Trail is a long one, 9 miles RT, and a good work out. It starts with a nice walk in the woods, then the UP's start. There is also a section that feels like a rollercoast with all the ups and downs. We lucked out on the summit, beside us there was only 6 other people. Major bonus of this trip... we found PUMPELLY CAVE on the way out, but we're not saying what trails we took off the summit to get there. We did post a video of our adventure for anyone who would be interested in seeing it. |
