| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
One car when we arrived at 9:30 AM. We met the occupants at the summit. Same car there when we finished. One SOBO section hiker got dropped off by a shuttle while we were staging in the AM. A car of tourists arrived while we were enjoying post-hike refreshments. That's it, empty lot otherwise. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
None are bad. The worst is the unbridged one closest to trailhead, but not a real problem. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nice clear waterbars. A couple of minor blowdowns, easily ducked or stepped over. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
| Bugs: |
Some not-too-aggressive black flies near Beaver Brook cascades. Other than that no problems. |
| Lost and Found: |
Found a ski mask type hat on side of trail. Hung it on a tree. Found tube of Burt's Bees lip balm. Threw it away at trailhead along with some other scraps of trash we found. |

| Comments: |
Nice day and nice views despite rain on way up from MA. Saw only 5 other hikers all day including the aforementioned SOBO section hiker. (Also saw a NOBO section hiker.) Descent along cascades a kneebuster as always. Thanks to JP for a nice hike. |
