A few blow downs. None a real problem. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Good for dogs. Pack some water, although there was a small stream running a ways up but wouldn't count on it in a dry spell. |
|
| Bugs: |
None. Cool and breezy could explain that though. |

Great trail. Well built with many switchbacks. Fantastic views. Be sure not to miss out on the northern ledges by following the AT north a bit from the summit to the spur trail. My first (of 3) visits to Cube, I remember finding the old stone carvings in the ledge. Well today I went looking again and refound them. They date to the 1830s-1870s (ex.- "John Joe Aug., 1836") and remain unweathered thanks to the hardness of the summit quartzite bedrock. Pretty cool. Cool temps and a good breeze, didn't see a single fly or mosquito. |
