Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Modest sized but nice parking off Rt. 26 at the west Table Rock, Huntington Cascade and Flume main section. Pull off at Table Rock east.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The two major crossings on Three Brothers were somewhat tricky rock hops due to high water and wet rocks. All others are step overs.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Table Rock from the west had some mud, some erosion and some mostly filled water bars. The Table Rock link section was more wet meadow than trail for much of the time I was on it. Three Brothers generally pretty good; nice footbed for much of it. Flume and Sanguinary Ridge in pretty good shape especially considering the rain, and the steep rocky section of Sanguinary was safe due to fine stone work. Table Rock from the east section wasn't bad despite the steepness and wet rocks. All trails generally well brushed, with a few scattered blowdowns, but the various signs are confusing, a mix of number systems, an occasional text sign, some fallen signs, and in the case of Three Brothers at Table Rock no sign at all. If you follow the most obvious footpath, however, at the spur to the outlook you will come to a nice new sign on a tree for it, and an older broken trail sign on the ground. All I really needed was a good map, but I had none, and being in Homer Simpson mode I had some trouble figuring things out using the AMC text and ground evidence. I missed the small CT sign at the Cascade Brook for the Flume focusing instead on the big notch history sign. Both Table Rock THs were signed on Rt. 26, as were the others.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Pepper wasn't too happy in the rain and "wet meadow" of the trail to Mt. Gloriette (Table Rock link?) especially since I was expressing my own displeasure, but when I asked him if he wanted to turn around, he took charge, he made sure we got back to Table Rock, and as soon as we did that the rain stopped and some sun came out. He had a good time thereafter, enjoying the numerous open views and generally nice pawpath, and being out in front.
Bugs
Bugs: Some, but only a bit of an annoyance when we got back to the car.

Comments
Comments: We went up the Table Rock easy (west TH), went part way on the Link? over to the ski area, then Three Brothers (don't miss the spur to an overlook) to Huntington Cascade to the Flume (with a road walk to the wildlife viewing area), to Sanguinary Ridge with a short side trip on Sanguinary Summitt to an overlook, a short walk on Rt. 26 to Table Rock east TH, then Table Rock easy back to the car.

Overall this was a really nice hike despite the rain and clouds to start. There's some really nice overlooks from Table Rock and Sanguinary Ridge, some pretty impressive falls and flumes especially with a good water flow, some nice footpaths in many places, and a lot of solitude. The big negative is the long drive, but of course if that wasn't necessary then these trails would be crowded and eroded. But it would be nice if there was some standardization of the trail signs and paint blazing, although a decent map showing all these trails would be what I would like the most.
