Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Davis Path up to Crawford excellent, from Crawford Spur to Stairs, a few large blow downs that require going under. One new blowdown from Stairs Col to Stairs Spur. I cut off branches to make it somewhat easier but expect it will keep sliding down steep slope. Some mud/drainage issues on stretch from Crawford Spur to stairs col.

Bugs
Bugs: Black flies out and swarming when stopped, were not bad if moving or in breeze. They were mostly swarming but some folks got bit.

Comments
Comments: I had never done this hike. Makes a nice out and back. It was wet the day before so some of the water and mud issues were most likely magnified, I expect it dries out later in season.
