Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Not an issue.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in decent shape, given the amount of rain over the past week or so. A few sections have plugged waterbars (we did quick boot cleans on a few) from the recent heavy rainfall. Holt-Clark Cutoff has a few small snapped beech trees hanging over the trail -- could be cleared easily with a handsaw.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: A few black flies -- only an issue when stopped for more than a few minutes.

Comments
Comments: Elizabeth Holt Falls was flowing nicely, given the recent rain.

Lower ledges on the Clark Trail were pretty wet and slippery heading up -- we chose to avoid these on the way down by using the West Ridge/Ranger Cabin/South Ridge/Hurricane Gap Trails to head back to the Clark Trail just below the lower ledges.

Upper ledges were bone dry.
