Comments
Comments: Mostly dry trail for both white dot and white cross. Very crowded ascending white dot. Much fewer people ascending white cross. Occassional muddy spots but easily avoidable. Being a weekend, it seemed like all the weekend warriors were out there. Lots of people not prepared: no packs, water, ect. Even saw some people with flip flops/sandals. Way too crowded at the summit. Hard to find solitude. Quite windy at the summit but not cold. Visibility about 50-75 miles. A bit hazy too. All in all, not a bad hike. I was using this hike to get the kinks out in preparation for a benefit hike next month so it served its purpose. I also was trialing and evaluation a new pack, hiking shoes, new hiking clothes, and a new water sterilizer.
