Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Trail head parkikng is well taken care of, and if you choose to start via the housing development area, only room for 1 or 2 cars there, so if you have a big group it would be a good idea to spot cars at the TH

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We avoided the water crossing by joining the tral from the old logging road that starts about a mile up the Stoney Brook TH, but another group had crossed from the traditional Stoney Brook trail which starts just off of route 16

Comments
Comments: Stoney Brook trail is very easy to follow all the way to the Carter-Moriah trail. We blocked an area on this trail with branches where a group took a wrong turn, but then backtracked. From Carter-Moriah to summit the ledges are all in good shape, and still completely snow covered, and the Cairn’s are exposed at all the important junction, but at the last open ledge snowshoes tracks are going all over the place, but from the cairn, if you head up and to the right you will find the trail, and from there in order to get to the summit, it was mainly bushwhacked the last 3 tenths of a mile, for we kept losing the trail.
