Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None to speak of on this trai. Two well-maintained bridges get the job done just fine.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: On the way up the mountain, the trail was in great shape. Saw about 4 or 5 trail workers doing a fine job near the "last sure water" sign. The new section of Gorge Brook that got relocated about 1/4 mile up Snapper Trail is in pretty rough shape still. Tons of mud and standing water. Looks like most people are making their own trails on the side.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No dogs today, however this a great hike for a four-legged friend.
Bugs
Bugs: None today to speak of, thanks to the torrential downpour the entire way down the mountain

Comments
Comments: This a great 7.4 mile up and down to the summit to Moosilauke. Not very steep, many switchbacks. No view from the top due to the fog. Met only two others on the summit who came up Beaver Brook and said it wasn't very fun with the wet rocks/rain.

It sprinkled the whole way up. As soon as I left the summit, the skies opened up with a downpour and I was basically hiking in a brook the entire way down the mountain. Overall though, a great 3.5 hour hike, and that makes #13/48 on the year!
