| Water Crossing Notes: |
All unbridged water crossings were easy on rocks. There are planks near the water crossing on the Nineteen Mile Brook trail where the bridge was wiped out by Irene. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail work on lower section of Carter Dome in response to damage from brook overflow. Some drainage work performed on the uppermost part of the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail. The steep section of the Carter-Moriah Trail up Mt Hight requires attention to repair erosion. |

Black flies and some larger flies in the watery areas. |

| Comments: |
Trails in good condition. The water running in the trail and the muddy areas were inconsequential. No obstructions on the trails. Group of young people with the AMC were performing work on the Nineteen Mile Brook Trail.
There was an excavator across Nineteen Mile Brook from the trail just downstream from the dam.
Met many other hikers including AT sections hikers from Connecticut and Springfield Illinois, a couple from New Jersey, a young woman from Mount Desert Island and her uncle from Stowe Vermont.
