mid-level bug dope needed (non-deet) but bugs were still ANNOYING!!!!! Mostly mosquitoes and those bugs that stay near your eyes. |

Morning relatively cool - trees all wet and rocks greasy from the night storm. Hazy views from tower. Had the summit to myself, before the crowds started showing up. Decent hike though I am not a fan of ANYTHING in the Conway area - I hope I won't be back.... still, the air smelled good after the rain! Saw a few snakes and a pair of hares - neat! |
