There is water flowing I all three streams, and the crossings are easy, east, easy with just one stretch of about 50' where the trail is damp. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All in great shape, and it seems to me that the Carriage Road is better-defined above timberline. |

| Comments: |
The walk up (2:30-4:30 AM) was smooth and a lot of fun, and as usual it got cold and windy above the tree line. Arrived at the summit about an hour before sunrise; had a look around at the lights (above and below); had some tea; and hunkered down to watch the show.
The sunrise was beautiful as always, and by a little after 6:00 I was on my way back down and happy to get into the trees and out of the wind and my heavy clothes.
No sign of Doc Benton. |
