A few large, strange-looking flying insects on Lafayette's summit. They didn't bite or sting...they just looked odd. Big suckers with golden wings. |

Found a white cotton washcloth while descending Falling Waters Trail. It's now hanging on the sign by the trailhead (by BP/FW parking lot). |

Fun day with friends Tammy and Emma. Perfect weather. Lots of people on the ridge, but not as many as I'd expected. We ate lemon bars on Lafayette and lollipops on Lincoln. Trip report will be posted on our website Tuesday morning. Saw six NOBO thru-hikers...gave them some lemon bars and wished them well.
Skookumchuck Trail is a lovely alternative to the typical BP ascent. Never gets steep and meaders through lovely woods. Now my favorite way up Lafayette. |
