Small dirt lot off Bear Notch Road. Probably can comfortably handle four vehicles and a short offshoot road could be used for more vehicles in the case of a group hike. |

Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Easy rock hops as water levels are low. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail from Bear Notch Road to Table Mountain is in good condition. The trail from Table Mountain to Big Attitash Mountain has many downed trees. I sawed and removed many of the fallen trees but there are still many more. None of the trees presents an insurmountable obstacle. Some small amounts of erosion on the trail but nothing too bad. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw three dogs today. |

A few flies at times. Not a real nuisance. |

| Comments: |
The trail was pretty much as described in the White Mountain Guide. It is easy hiking up to Table Mountain where there are great views from the ledges. The ledges that look toward Mt Carrigain can be accessed by a short side trail.
The going to Big Attitash Mountain was rougher as there is obviously less foot traffic. The trail is mostly evident but there are a couple of spots where one must be vigilant in following the path. There are a few muddy areas which had a gummy consistency in this dry spell. One wetter spot also smelled bad. From Big Attitash Mountain I could see North Moat through the trees. As noted in the trail maintenance section there are many trees across the trail of varying sizes.
I did not go downhill to Lucy Brook. |
