Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: to access my starting point drive east inlet road from rt. 3 north of second connecticut lake to the first bridge and turn right staying on east inlet road. at about 3.6 miles there is an intersection where a sign says you are now on boundary pond road, but the mile markers continue to say east inlet road for as far as i drove. at about 7 miles you cross a bridge and head left uphill. at this point the mountain is on your right (east) and i parked partway up the hill where i could get the car off the road. the road is in good shape with some minor rough sections mostly on short steeper pitches, but nothing to stop a passenger car.

Comments
Comments: . i bushwacked almost due east towards the summit starting out in an area of old skid roads overgrown with hobblebush then utilized an old road running uphill to gain some elevation. when it deviated from my bearing i continued up through mostly open and wet woods to the summit. descending i used roughly the same route eventually picking up the same road in the lower 3rd of the descent.

after hiking salmon earlier i drove around to take a shot at kent. once again the roads were in really good shape. more of the same nice open woods though quite wet and slick today. started to catch some intermittent sun on the drive back out to rt. 3.
