Parking/Access Road Notes: Room for many cars; counting roadside parking. Gate still open upon our 5:30 P.M. departure.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail

Water Crossing Notes: No issues; water levels low. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Couple bridges in wet areas need replacing and bottom section could use some brushing out. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lots of water along route for pooches. 
Bugs
Bugs: Flying in the bushes down low but not biting. One mosquito bite up higher. 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found--a shorter route back to Northern Vermont thanks to Emerel's nice GPS buddy. 
 
Comments
Comments: Nice day on Cabot. Clearest views either of us had gotten on previous hikes. Easily see Mansfield & Camel's Hump. Nice temps, some wind and just a sprinkle of rain at end. Quite a few hikers out today. Would be wet going through lower grown in section but our 10:30 start allowed things to dry out first.
