Comments
Comments: I planned to hike the entire Baldface Circle Trail, but the fog I drove through refused to lift and there were sprinkles. As a result, by the time I reached the slabs that start just above the Shelter, which the AMC Guide describes as "dangerous when wet," they were wet, viewless and rather slippery. I picked my way up the first two, then decided to change my plans.

Chandler Gorge was worth the .5-mile detour (.7 mile if you backtrack on the omitted section of the Baldface Circle Tr.).
